MUSEUM OF UNSOLVED THINGS

Collecting is a phenomenon celebrated not only by "official" collectors, but also by producers, artists and by nearly everyone. Who doesn't know the moment stumbling over something and having that instant feeling this specific object coould be important to something in the future, takin it home and storing it for the case of the right moment. Especially in a studio these things can become an important part to fill the surrounding of the actual production, sometimes becoming a source for a constant state of undecidednes, whitch in some special moments turns into something sometimes calles "inspiration". THE MUSEUM OF UNSOLVED THINGS is a display for this kind of objects everyone knows. It celebrated this preliminary moment in which a special kind of potentiality can be kept inherent to the objects in their not yet defined state.

The exhibition was extended by donations of broken things by visitors which stayed in JUST ANOTHER ART FOR LIFE EXPERIENCE. and left something for the MOUT. For example the following wax model for a jewelry cast by the designer Nora Rochel, an open lock by an unknown guest and a hat by the Butoh dancer Santeri Vikström (which found its place on top of the unsolved column of Sandra Gomez).
